Anyone ever buy new stock leaf springs? I have an 88 Grand Wag and my springs are really wasted. They look like a relaxed letter "M" you can see light between the leafs except of course where the ubolt pack is.. and the rubbers are totally wasted. . Im thinking bout doin a SOA with Stock or slightly modified springs.. who has replacement stock springs for these babys? Also what's the story on Old Man Emu springs? Does anyone have experience with these?? Mabye if I replaced my stocks with those with a slight lift, it would make for a pretty good lift out of a SOA. Just Brainstormin.. not quite ready to deal with my suspension yet but am planning for my future.. I will be lifting, and my springs are wasted along with my rubber bushings. So it affects my steering\ride a lot.. But I cant afford to fix em and then replace em later down the road when I modify it.. If I could get my new springs that I would be using in the mod now, I would be halfway there.. .. just throwin the question out there.. mabye others will benifit from this ..

I'm about to go through the same thing with my J-2000. So far the cheapest source I have found is good ole J.C.Whitney,around $99.00 each. If you are in or near a larger city you may have A local source that can build you some. Check the yellow pages under springs.

Has anyone bought the espo springs?? they say that they can make em one or two inches lifted for about 30 or 40 bucks more.. i emailed em and asked about it, and they responeded that they make em bigger right there. would these be better than getting a stock spring and then sticking a add-a-leaf on it later?? I would think so but dont have a ton of experience with it.. I wouldnt mind haveing near stock springs that are already lifted a few inches, and then someday when i do a SOA i will have some good springs goin already

I too would be interested in doing this. I want a little more clearance on my truck, but don't really want to add a lift kit (i.e. new shackles, etc.). If you decide to do it, let us know how it turns out.
