Can't really see the work area, but its basically all the dirt within 10' of the truck
New house we're moving to has a 20'x8ft' level cement pad which abuts the side of the brick house. Looking forward to dripping some oil on *that* badboy ;)

Here's where I work; you can't really tell from this picture, but it's got two concrete tracks for the vehicle wheels to roll on, with dirt in the middle and both sides. I have the top flat section of a Blazer fiberglass top that I cut up and use as a portable floor wherever I need to use my creeper, and for the engine-hoist, I have some 8' lengths of heavy vinyl used as the scuff-boards in a hockey-rink to lay down as tracks for the casters to roll on. You can also see the puny garage in the background, which usually functions as a staging-area/storage-booth for whatever I'm working on.
http://www.drbob.tqhosting.com/cherokee/big05.jpg
The plan is to build a larger garage on the site of the existing one, and have a flat concrete pad in front for exterior work.

Black Bart's four wheel drive emporium, Redneck refuge and parts yard. Sorry no pics are allowed to be taken there, becase of securety concerns. I do think the 50 foot gun tower is abit much though.
Well, sometimes on the concrete pad in the driveway, assuming i feel like moving the loads of cars around...otherwise on the gravel driveway or for small stuff i do it at work sometimes (Lube Shop w/ a pit)

Wow you have Richard Petty to help you!! Notice you also have calander motivation too! :D
I have a 4 bay garage with 2 lifts, standing parts cleaner, sandblasting bay, paint booth, epoxy floors, 5000 watt stereo system, big screen tv, lazy boy, bathroom, shower, snap on tool set, fully heated/air conditioned, 80 gal compressor, tire changer, balancer, and 3 asian massuses. Haha. And my partents bought it for me.

Yeah right. If I had that it wouldn't take a month to change a tranny shaft. What I do need is calander motivation.

A garage is not a garage without your Snap-on girlie calender. Just having one in the garage while rebuilding an engine will give you 5 extra hp. And it adds up, for every calender you can add 5 more. You must get a bunch of Hp out of your jeep. LOL

This is a pic of the house I just moved from. My buddy is looking for a can of beer he set down! http://www.fullsizejeeps.com/jeeps/files/Users/casey/joes1.jpgwe had to let the air out of the 31's to roll it into the bay(7'door)the driveway is steep, the house is on Paris Mtn.. The garage is full of crap to re-model the house with and a staging area for every project I have going on and my re-loading bench.
My new house has a carport that is unfortunately well below the average high water mark during the hurricane season. So I have to build up a platform to put my tool box on and alot of shelving to get the other tools off the floor. But it is 2 car and has a 10x20 shop area at the back. I'm going to close it in and hang an 18' door. The best part is my Jeeps can sit in the driveway in neutral and they wont roll.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v189/rcasey/DorisDrive003.jpg
You can see the water standing in the driveway, thats just from a hard rain! Last year hurricane Isabelle brought water to the bottom of our floor joists  I am going to cut the driveway and install a drain to help with the rain water and just hope for the best during hurricane season. Got lucky this year!

I work on my GW in the shop on my dad's farm. When I was a teen I soon learned that if I left it in dad's shop long enough, it usually got fixed...by dad. Later, he would usually mumble something like, "I had to fix your blankety, blank, POS Jeep so I could get that bucket of rust outta my shop so I could work on the combine." Dad once worked in a garage, and he could fix whatever was wrong with that old Jeep while I was trying to figure out which tools I needed. I actually think he liked working on it because somtimes if he didn't have anything better to do, he would pull it in his shop and fix stuff that he thought "needed fixin" even though I didn't know there was anything wrong with it.
Finally I had to sell "DA Beast" when Dad evicted the old tub of rust and bondo from his equipment shed to make room for a new John Deere. There was so much oil on the cement floor where it dad been parked for years that Dad said it looked like the Exxon Valdez had been drydocked in there.
If Dad ever sells the farm, and gets rid of his tools and the farm business account at the NAPA store my Grand Wagoneer will have to go!

The driveway as usual. But after years of wrenching in any weather, either on a tank in the army or on the family vehicles, the Jeeps Gods smiled at me, and with my first new to me house there is a detached 2 car garage with a 75000 BTU natural gas heater. Tonight was the first night getting organized enough to get something in there!

The photos were taken over the span of a couple of months. We still need to insulate and install a heater for these cold Minnesota winter months. We put up plastic sheeting to at least help hold some of the heat in. We are currently, carefully, using Knipco style heaters.

I got a nice narrow ditch beside my trailer. I push or drive it in and level my rig out then I have all the room I need underneath. It doesnt leave much room for weather though. So that is where the weather channel helps out for my more than a day projects. And ants are vicious so watch where ya park.

I have been around a while and now have a 24x24x10hi garage with air in the walls on both sides, pull down lights, water hose, and air hose, heat and air conditioning, several Craftsman cabinets, and overhead crane on an I-beam spanning the garage where the engine sits when pull in, several work benches along the walls, a lot of tools stashed everywhere, and most importantly a beer 'fridge. I all too well remember working outside in heat, cold, rain, and snow. No more of that for this old guy. The biggest problem is that the Avanti has to sit outside when the Jeep in being worked on-was out for 5 1/2 months this spring thru summer-but what the h***, it's just a car!

I get to take mine to the auto skills center on base I got threatened with getting kicked out of base housing when I was checking my oil. The auto skills center has 4 lifts, 8 bays and all the tools I could ever possibly think of. Then again if I'm not there 45minutes before they open I end up having to wait 4 to 5 hours for a bay.

In the garage, or in the driveway. No room to build a shop. Miss the one I had in La., was 3400 sq foot, heated with bathroom, and walkin shower. The man that had the house there before us worked on farm tractors. The one car shop to the side was for his small engine repairs, not enough for a FSJ but the S-10 would fit. Man I miss that house. I used to use my 1 stall garage, nice with propane heater in Upstate NY winters... but now that the remains of the Wag's are in the garage, most wrenches are turned in the driveway. That's unless the part can be pulled, then it's in the unfinished basement along, oh, 20 feet of workbench. smile.gif

I guess i'm lucky in that a family friend has a whole farm full of empty barns and empty buildings available (bottom fell out of the livestock market after foor and mouth 3 years ago). Right now she's "resting" in an old piggery. At least i have plenty of room to work in. In winter she can go in a fully enclosed barn.

I work in the dirt (since I killed all the grass) at the side of my house. I formerly used the maintenance building for the school district that I work at, but we have a new director of building and grounds and due to liability reasons, he won't allow anybody to work there anymore! I also frequent a good friends shop. Zack from Z & M Jeeps (zmjeeps.com) lets me use his shop just about whenever I need to. As long as I move his jeep out of the way and put them back where they were!
