i'm geting ready to do some mods on my grand wag. i have about evey option there is for parts. i'm going with a 4 inch lift and probally 32/11'50's. i'll have to regear my axles if i go with the curent setup as far as trany. of i could get some earlyer axles with 355's or 373's pasenger drop for less than regearing mine. basicaly i'll be useing it for a dayly driver and roadtrips for camping and kayaking, and eventualy as a tow rig, maybe some mild trailriding. also evenualy i'll be building a peformance 401 for it. what are the pro's and cons of a turbo 400/20 and a 727/208?

they are roughly equivalent as 2 totally different trannys can be. both are pretty long lived and ruggedly built. both can handle way more torque than the stock jeep v-8s delivered. parts for them are easy to come by. the quadra trac t-case is starting to dissappear tho. if you have both and your axles have the gearset you want. why not go with what you have instead of buying more stuff. only thing is axle-ectomies are a bear. much easier with air and a blue wrench
