How do you seal an antenna wire passing through the roof? I just got done with my new headliner, and I absolutely do not want any water leaks!!!
Thanks!!!

Usually, the antenna has a gasket for that. I've used several different brands of roof mounted antennas and have never had a leak. This includes CB and Ham antennas. I always used good brand-name antennas. Never used any sort of caulk or sealer.

Hey Brad -
If you look at www.firestik.com (http://www.firestik.com) they have some really slick solutions for mounting your antenna. I have the roof mount and the "fire ring" so the wire mounts under the headliner.

Brad, i just ran my wire along the inside of the rain gutter, and then along the outside of my door frame and behind all that a/c crap

For me my CB wire runs under the carpet to the back of the vehicle and then behind the rear cargo panel then out from behine the panel right above the tailgate. It then goes into the window channel and runs up and then comes out at the top and then heads to the roof. I have a Lil' Wilson mag mount. So you can see some wire but it doesn't bother me..

Gotta put the wire through the tranny inspection cover. It has to go there, otherwise there would be nothing to hold my QT lockout switch in place. I guess my second choise would be to run the wire under the floor mats and out through the hole in the floor.
I saw make holes in the bottom, not the top.
Oh, yeah, anyway, a mount with a quality rubber seal that sandwiches via a nut and bolt mount would be the way to go. Make sure to put your hole in a flat area of the roof. You could throw a little silicone on the rubber for some backup.
Good luck
Daniel
