Needs pics or at least a description of the unit. Hope you did not get suckered into a crusher.

i'm assuming it's similar to the harbor freight type unit where the die sits on top of the hydraulic cylinder... the tube/pipe sits in the die and is raised to meet two round guides... eventually the jack will press the tube/pipe enough to bend it... hopefully not flattening it too much..

ARGH.. you are going to need to run pretty thick stuff so that you don't crush the tube. The Harbor Frieght Tube Crushers don't like thin walled stuff.. GOOD LUCK is all I can say on this one...

check the other thread about building your own tube bender, racer 32 used components from a bender like yours to build one that will bend tube/pipe without crushing it..

What about filling the tube/pipe with sand? I have used that trick on small stuff.

I bought a'79 Cherokee last year and one of the owners past installed a roll bar from what looks like a TJ or YJ. It fits well and doesn't look like it had to be modifide at all.

I bought a harbor freight bender last year. Havent built anything yet, but have played around with it. Put sand in the tubing and it does an really decent job. Plus BLT2KRL built his bumpers with one.
