What is and how do they work in a FSJ?

-Sway bar disconnect
-Torque converter
-Headers
-Exhaust manifold
-Glass packs
-Open and closed knuckle

Now once you stop laughing/crying  , is there a website that can be referenced for these and other common questions for the automotive newbie?

Thanks! Brandon

sway bar disconeccts- replace your normal swaybar links so onroad you get good handling, then offroad you can disconnect them real easy and wheel' away.

thanks yall, so the normal swaybar linkage is used to keep the vehicle fromswaying and rolling etc etc? I need to wheel away, anyone got a link where they can be bought for cheap?

Is the stock one the large horizontal bar near the front axle only (IE-None on the rear right?)

yea, the normal linkage keeps it from leaning as much like on turns and stuff. its fine as long as your not hitting turns real fast, or you wil lean alot and tend to go in the other lane..eh scary. how much lift you planning on puttin on the trail rig, depending on that you can pick up a set for around $60 at this place i found on the net, er ill find it later

Reason I ask about the galss packs is cause I have been told I have them on my Jeep, its a lil muffled now what with the damage, but hey it still sounds like a pretty sweet truck!

if you have a welder or know someone that does sway bar disconnects are very easy(and cheap) to make.

Just cut the sway bar in half

weld on an extension that will slide/fit over the sway bar

and drill a hole in the extension and the other piece of the sway bar

stick some sort of pin in it and there you go.

it only took about 15 minutes for me to make.

When you get back you could bring em to me in knoxville or just send them to me with the measurements and I will do it for you.

Sway bar disconnects are a waste of money. You shouldn't be driving your wag fast enough to warrant them anyways.
