Uwharrie anyone?

Well after meeting PC, i am once again pumped up to go wheelin....anyone wanna try for Uwharrire? I dare to call it a meet and greet again....maybe I can go find that H2 from the crackerbarrel....dates?

2nd day, have you been there before? I am up for going. I could make it a day trip, its not too far from me here in Raleigh I don't think. This would be my first time going though. When does it open?

I was thinkin a day trip also. its not far from me either. Depending on when I may or may not have my Jeep running. I havent been there before so its largely dependent on others going too that have been, I was thinkin sometime in April though...anyone else up for it?

well, i'm up for it if it's on a weekend. it'll take me a small fortune to drive it down there but it's worth it. i went there once with a friend and we all had a good time. ask horny toad or rockwagon those guys live in that place.

My club will be there the first weekend in April, Fri., Sat & possibly Sun. (4th, 5th & 6th). Most of the guys that were at Tellico in October, plus a few more. Come on down if ya can! It will be the first trip of the year, so we are ready to cut loose!! I am in the process of putting my new 360, rebuilt 727 and rebuilt 208, plus 3.73 gears in the axles. I will also have my hydraulic assist steering on, ala Rockwagon style!!

Count me in if I can ride with someone...yes I am asking...rather pathedically I might add...i can show on Saturday..i can bring a high lift jack and an assortment of tools for any breakdowns...

no, it's just necessary that's all. we found that out up in tellico, just a heads up. the 29th of...??? i'm out of school the 30th if that's any indication. if that date lands on a weekend well i'm probably out by then so yeah sure.

once again...thanks...thats proably good advice....they washers dont work right now..proably an easy fix anyways....i dont remember what month we had said actually. Not a big deal though cause from where your at it'd proably take a lllooooonggggggg tttttiiiiimmmmmeeeeee and whole lot o gas for you to come this way just to help me...but sincerly thanks for the offer! Im not too worried about the holy floor right now...i think i can get it runnin...more to come...there may be a couple of baby Jeeps from MATC there to represent...ill proably ride with them and watch you big boys if Bohunks isnt there, but it should be...where are we going to meet at for this and what time?????

Well, looks like my club will not be going up until Sat. morning. We will meet at the double parking lot around 8:30-9:00 am if any one wants to meet us there. We will then be going to a campsite on one of the trails, most likely on Rocky Mount loop. The double parking lot is on road # 553. Check my clubs website under coming events for a map of Uwharrie. The double parking lot is the 2 P symbols within the Rocky Mount loop. We should have a sign setup along the road pointing to our campsite. We will also be stopping for breakfast near Troy if ya want to meet us there.

Hamilton's Rest. is about halfway between Biscoe and Troy on Hwy 24/27. We should be getting there about 7:30 am. It is on the right just past Wal-mart. Or you can go to Troy, then take Hwy 109 north to Uwharrie, just follow the signs.

ooooohhhhh i see. yeah well if the funds come through. i thought we were gonna work on your rig. i'll see if i can do that. i got a buddy of mine that lives down that way and i might hit him up for some lodging. his brother has a jeep that he thinks is cool. well, it kinda is but he breaks stuff so he's fun to laugh at.

Sounds good man, i am trying to be less selfish which makes it just a lil bit. i was feeling pretty lame askin ya to drive down here to do work for me. I recriuited Sloop to come down Thursday too. Who knows...if i can ever get current plates after it is runnin maybe my Jeep will see Uwharrie someday...gotta set some short term goals right? smile.gif hope ya can make it, your welcome to stay at my place...although it smells like sewage right now... :(

Dude, that's going to be quite a contest. Hopefully you'll be able to splurge for the gourmet peanut butter for the May trip to Tellico. Last weekend at work I was cruising with a few bagels and some peanut butter and jelly for my breakfast and lunch on the mountain. The only thing more budget than a ski patroller is a ski patroller that's in school and trying to build a Jeep. Food's overrated man. We'll feast in Tellico in May. So who's bringing the steaks for Nick and me?

i may ehd up losing the contest :( i splurged last night and bought a pound of hamburger for 1.65 and made hamburger helper. i'd never know that heaven wasn't on earth until after i ate meat after about 3 weeks. smile.gif the gas money may come through so i might just see you guys down there. brandon, you better get it running. that list is nothing to worry about. just fix what is necessary. don't worry about floor boards those are just extra vents!!

btw, brandon what did you get done/not get done?? well i had help offered, but once agaibn my funding fell thru :( for the wires i need, plus the weather...i was gonna lay down the bed liner at least but thats not gonna happen anytime soon, right now im shootin to be lucky to get it to the Invasion...looks like i need to weld the floor up too by the rear passenger wheel well too
