Come on guys. Let's get together and have some fun. I figure Box canyon area or AZ Frank has a good trail out near the superstitions.

Count me out! My Pro-Jection should be installed by then, but I don't want to test it on a 150+ mile road/offroad trip. Besides, :( I just spent a few months of gas money. I'm either going wheelin' up here on the north side or checking out the Freeway 202 opening party this Saturday. I don't think I'll travel too far with Johnson until early February.

I will come up north if I have to! What projection unit did you get? I have one on my mustang.

Count me out also. I'm doing the family thing. Isn't that the weekend 64trvler will be down? I think it is. We had a blast last year when we met in Tucson. Did a little wheel'n after lunch also.

I will come up north if I have to! What projection unit did you get? I have one on my mustang. I got the 502-20S, 2-barrel, 670 cfm. It still isn't running yet. Jacobs is supposed to be sending me some kind of switch to make the Pro-Jection work with their ignition. I might have to reinstall a factory coil too. This has been a real nightmare! I'm considering scrapping the Jacobs and installing MSD.
If Johnson is ready by Sunday I might do Crown King. 4-wheelers Supply is leading an annual thing. Check out http://azvjc.web.com/ for more information on this trip. There will be a variety of 4-wheelers and it should be fun! smile.gif

When ya gonna go tubrojet on Johnson gwinn????? I'll probably go bullistic first!!! ;)
Mike,
The 11th has been out for me for a long time.
The 12th is Ridgbak's oil leak with AZFrank.
The 18th is the lunch with 64 @ Hooters down here.
The 19th I will probably pass out from all this activity.
After that if I do not give Sally a couple of weekends I will be exiled.

Well I went without you guys! Nah Nah Nah smile.gif
Had a good time, went back to box canyon, we started late and I wanted to go somewhere I was familure with. Had a great time and it was a BEAUTIFUL day. Went as far as 'the hill'.
Didn't smack my exhaust pipe at all this trip. I have some decent video too. Wish you guys had been there. My truck died on the trail (see other topic). It was easy to fix but I was a little nervous for a couple of minutes there....
Once we get past 'the hill' (you know with the windmill) what do we do when we get to the wash to get to Martinez Cabin??? I might head back up there in a couple of weeks to show my buddies the area.

Hey You AZ guys,
I wonder if you could share a little unrelated info? I am currently living in S. Lake Tahoe as I have been for the last decade or so, and finally the extreme winter weather conditions that we get here are starting to get the best of me. {Like 12 feet of snow in 1 week}. Anyhow my wife and I are tossing around the idea of moving to AZ, posibly around Sedona. I currently have my wag, my cherokee and my cj registered in Nev, which means no smog at all installed on any of them. In my research on AZ smog laws, it looks like Tucson and Phoneix are the only areas that require smog inspections, is this true, is there anything else I should know before I get a BIG surprise? thanks in advance........phil

oddfire...the only other surprise you'll get is not being arm pit deap with snow in the winters. :D No smog police down here in Sierra Vista.
tadsal...I don't know the name of the place but west sid of I10 there was a huge sand wash that was posted but we found a field that had some sand hills and pits in it and we just tweeked the suspension around there for a little bit.

Anyhow my wife and I are tossing around the idea of moving to AZ, posibly around Sedona. Sedona is a real nice place to visit, but unless you're somewhere close to rich, you won't fit in socially or economically. There are a lot of nice areas to live without having to move into the the populated, Smog-Nazi controlled cities. Flagstaff, Prescott & Payson all have industry and nice weather and no smog laws. Good Luck! If you move to Sedona, is it okay if we drop :D in once in awhile after wheelin' in your backyard?

Hey Gwinn, I be honered if I was accepted into your group. I have currently been running with Mike Baxter and Superken and will miss the fun with those guys but it will just give us an excuse for another reunion. We plan on taking an extended vacation this fall to check out the whole area. The only good thing about living here is that in the time that we have owned our home it has appreciated about 3 times what we payed for it! so we win there......phil

gwinn hit the nail on the head for Sedona, pretty place but is priced off the planet.
There are some real nice smaller places to live here and PHX andTSN do have some strong attractions for people.
