River Beast

once you upload it... you need the image tags around the filename (img)http://yourfile.jpg(/img)

use [] [] instead of () () and you'll be set

see the space between 'Picture' and '011.jpg'

That shows at %20 when you try to link it.... make it picture011.jpg and it will work

I bought the car trailer a few weeks ago, I was discussing it with a co-worker and he told me that he had a 1985 Grand Wagoneer in his garage that he purchased 10 years ago and it has sat ever since. He then told me that if I could get it out of there I cold have it, that's all I needed to hear. Back in the late 80's I had a Cherokee Chief that I used as a farm vehicle, it was a tank. I have been talking to my dad about getting another one. I was always amazed by how well these full size Jeeps do off-road.
Anyway, I have not tried to start it yet but I hooked up a battery to it and all the windows work and it looked like the gauges do too. I am going to tear into the engine bay few weeks to see if I can get it to turn over. It had not been started for 10 years, so I am going to change the oil, spray some light oil into each cylinder and replace the belts/hoses/plugs and wires. The gas probably looks like jello so we will see what else I need to do.

You shouldn't have spaces between the web address and the HTML tags. Also, you should add the http:// prefix before them.

what the heck - posted these once before, some may have already seen, but may as well add to the "official" wag picture thread.

taken in the yard a few days before i bought her, this rig is one of about 25 '89 grand wags that ever made it to australia - they were privately imported as jeep australia stopped in about '85 & so the sj's stopped coming. she was factory optioned without wood.

i believe the color is "dark vivid red metallic" (89 year model) & at times almost looks black & in the afternoon sun almost brown - here she looks closer to black.

note the lpg gas filler in the bumper (rather that than cut another hole in the body work), orange front & back side markers, both operational & also orange tint on rear lenses.
http://www.fullsizejeeps.com/gallery/albums/uploads/1984-1992-GrandWagoneers/18GWAGGYBACK.jpg

that price, au$11,999 = us$8,922 - she had about 133,000 miles on her & i didnt pay quite that amount.
http://www.fullsizejeeps.com/gallery/albums/uploads/1984-1992-GrandWagoneers/18GWAGGYFRONT.jpg

floor shifter console - a few mates also have consoles from fords that look just as good & also the adjustable rancho in cab controller (just removed the whole set up) & the steering wheel, sans leather, which i intend to replace. note also the aussie style dash pad that sits straight across the console, rather than enveloping the passenger side as her stateside cousins do.

So far the QT Low Range, front Valance & Header panel, heater box, low range shifter cable, rear door handles, PS bracket, seats and salvagable interior, T400 and complete 401 have gone other places to help other FSJs live on. That is a good thing...

Here are the 2 in my sig. The '86 still isn't moving -- it's mostly for lack of trying. But I've got a line on an XJ gas tank and I just bought a clutch pedal assembly from Gambler (thanks Ryan) so now I can actually shift gears. Now all it needs are driveshafts, new brakes, and some guages:eek:

The '84 just got an electric fuel pump conversion and is about to get the TFI upgrade -- have all the parts, just need the time. Oh and if anybody has a driver door that's in good shape and close by, drop me a PM.

In my avatar.
It's a 76 Wagoneer, with 77 Cherokee Widetrack Axles and front fenders, a 4" lift and 33" BFG's. It's got the 401 and we pull our trailer up to the hunting grounds each year and then tool around the mountain with it.
It looked REALLY nice about 4 years ago right after the build/paint, but its starting to look like a rusted out hulk again.

here's my first waggy. i've wanted a fsj ever since i got into jeeps, and i finally found this one. and THIS ONE is rusty. i see some of you guys complain about your rust buckets, or parting out rusty junk, and they look much better than mine. LOL on my the door bottoms are rotten, both rear quarters are rotten clear off. i can actually stick my hand inside from next to the waggy. LOL there are holes rusted through the rear tailgate, etc..etc..

and you know what.....i still use it as a daily driver. a little work here, a little polish there, a few more parts everywhere. she's old and tired, but she runs great. so little buy little i'll get her there. i recently picked up ALL new lights and wires that i plugged off of a 91. so maybe then my turn signals will work again.

but overall, i'm happy and i love this thing. i rides great, it does 70mph comfortable, and actually gets really good gas mileage. i love it.
