can i use a cj pitman on a 71 j2500?

i just have to find a pitman for my rig and need to know if a cj arm will work i have been told it will but who knows

count the teeth!! if it's the same...then it will works. i don't know what year jeep switched but it was definately after 1970...cause the new ones don't work on my wag!!
