Went out to my local graveyard and ran across this

I looked in the cab and found this.

(after being shined up)

Then I snapped a few more pic's.

If anyone is interested in the parts let me know.

Does anyone have a set of trim rings for Rhino set up?

Also does anyone have a picture of a Gray '76 Chero Chief S? I know mine used to be gray and would like to bring it back to its original color scheme.

The Rhino set ups on E-bay have the turn signals included. Is there a reason for this? I didn't grab them because my 76 turn signals look the same as the J20?

Thanks

dang you Californians!

Please head back out there and grab the turn signal lenses off of the rig right behind this one for me (clear/ white lenses)

NICE SCORE

You should go back and get the entire grille support panel, they are hard to find in nice shape. Good score.

someone here was looking for the metal dash panel last week or so. As to the turn signals, the later rigs just had amber lenses, rather than the clear over lenses. Might be worth grabbing them as trading material, maybe toward your trim rings ;)

If I remember right, the amber lenses will not fit the housings with the clear lenses. The screw holes were a little off.

That's a fairly clean engine compartment, for a Tornado motor, plus it looks complete right down to the air cleaner.

Snag that E'brake lever handle. They get broken alot over time.

Oooooh cool find. I wish I could find an old Kaiser FSJ, but I fear if there are any still here, they're just mounds of rust in the dirt by now. :(

Where in California is Leemore?

I'd like to grab that razor grille.

Can you get that steering wheel by chance? If so can you PM me? Thanks.

If the dist is a Prestolite IAT 4416-6-T I could sure use the little spring clips that hold the dist cap on they screw to the dist body (need clips, base and screw) and the back ignition wire loom from the valve cover top and the outside mirrors. pax. side is missing on my 64 and the driver side is about shot. Probably a bunch more, but you have to eat the elephant one bite at a time

happy to pay plus the shipping

Put me second in line for the west-coast mirrors if waynestiles doesn't end up getting them.

I will take the complete dash (sheet metal, gauges, controls, knobs, etc.) if you can get them at a reasonable price.

Hey, I'm in Avenal. Where's the junkyard at in Lemoore? Be a great place to add to our list of places to visit! Thanks.

Sorry but the rig behind it is my baby

http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e127/lafoy/Brad/DSCF0861.jpg

I'm new to the whole Jeep thing so I really have know idea what these parts are worth.

I'm thinking about going out and buying the whole thing and putting the parts up on E-bay. (I'm trying to finance a lift from BJ's and a paint job)

Could anyone give me rough estimate of what the engine is worth?

Lemoore is about forty miles south of Fresno.

If your coming from higway 198 (from avenal). It's the 1st right after you go under highway 41.

There are two other FSJ's in there. 78 Wagoneer and a 68 (I Believe). both have been worked over pretty good. I have a power window motor out of the 78 if anyone is interested.

Here are the rest of the pic's.

The engine is not worth much, maybe a $100 tot he right buyer, but the two barrel intake can catch a pretty penny on ebay. A lot of guys with the M715s look for them. I was running one until I swaped the engine out.

Wow that's an old one. It'd be worth it to sell parts off of if you can get it for the price of scrap metal. And have room..and a forgiving partner..and blind neighbors..

i seem to remember someone in the wanted section asking for one of those older factory style radios

I can't get the whole rig because i have no place to work on it. I called my housing office and they said NO! I know my neihbors would drop a dime on me if I tried it anyhow.

I will go out later this month when I am on vacation and ask the lot if i can strip it for a certain amount of money. They're pricey on individual items so I'd rather just do it that way.

That's hard to tell if it's a jeep factory radio. the knobs are not and the numbering doesn't look right.

If the radiator-mounted fan shroud/guard comes off easily, I'm looking for one.

The Tornado would be good for someone as a spare, since the parts are expensive and tough to find. They are used by the Willys wagon and truck crowd also. Too bad I'm too far away for that one. I have the room to let it sit.

Thats not a factory Jeep radio. Very different.

Sorry for dredging up an old post, but if that truck is around and still has the 2 barrel intake I am in need of one for my J3000. I have a carb but would buy the whole setup. Let me know how much shipped to 47246 if it is still around.
