i met another fsjeeper today :)(+vac advance prob)

When I was working on my truck today at work I saw at pump 2 what looked to be my jeep, me and a co worker went over and talked to get, she was from Vermont and she just bought the jeep, it was an 83 Cherokee with a 6 cyl. I forget to tell her about this site, I was in the middle of explaining to my friend why she has a plug in the grill and that it’s not only for diesels... she was a nice lady...

Also why does my vac advance mess up my engine? It idles fine high rpm its fine but when I plug it in it get all clunky, the vac advance control works fine...

Did you time it with the vac control on or off. You need to time it with the vac off and the carb port plugged. If you timed it with the vac off this could be the problem but I need more details.
