I need to find a 4-prong socket tool that will fit the upper ball joint seat. The one I borrowed wasn't long enough to completely fit over the ball joint stud, so I couldn't torque down the seat properly. I need to know where I can get a longer (deeper well) socket.

Head up to Autozone. They have the loan a tool program. Should have the one you need.

RB, I made one before, as well, out of a small hole-saw bit. I grinded out the four teeth and it worked very well. Unfortunately, I left it in Ohio.
Talntar, the torque settings for balljoints are very important, especially with those on FSJ's which actually suspend the knuckle between the two yoke arms. The upper balljoint is actually adjusted by a threaded seat, which requires a 4-pronged socket about 1" in diameter. This seat is supposed to be torqued to 50 ft-lbs, after which the castle nut is torqued to 100 ft. lbs.

Got it, RB, any chance the picture can be edited to show the truck and mountains better?

Well, I hate to rub it in about the beauty of this place, but sometimes I just can't help it.
Last night the full moon was above the canyon, and that entire mountainside in the picture was bathed in its glow. Really intense!
