Folks -
Now that the cooler weather is upon me, I'm forced to recall how badly GW's windows fog/steam/get kid's drawings all over them. My previous vehicles all had the ability to run the A/C in 'hot' mode. My Wag's air temp gets very slightly less cold but nowhere near warm. The windows defog well but this ain't gonna work when the snow flies! Heater, defroster and other settings work just fine - A/C just won't run on warm mode...
Anyone else's Wag do this?

I'm not really sure if I understand your question but I have on occassion run just the fan on my A/C with the heater going. The fan does cool the air down but it circulates it to the poor kids in the back seat pretty well. As long as the A/C thermostat is twisted counterclockwise all the way the compressor won't kick on. As far as the foggy windows go, I carry a bar towel to wipe them down. J.C. Whitney has a couple types of cig.lighter plug-in heaters/fans and I may get one this year just because it takes sooooo long to get my defroster up to temp.

If I recall correctly, your '84 has a separate A/C control between the two center A/C ducts, yes? My '88 has all the controls in one panel in the middle of the dashboard. I can select Off, A/C, Heater, Defrost, etc. Under this slider switch is another slider to control the temperature, from 'blue' to 'red' ranges. Another rotary switch cotrols fan speed.
In my '79 Caddy, I could turn on the A/C and choose the 'red' zone from the panel and it would provide warm, air-conditioned air to clear the windows. In my '93 Caravan, I can do the same thing. In the GW, it only blows cold air and that's my issue - is this a default with the GW in general or just mine? I'm wondering if one of those pesky vacuum lines is giving me trouble...
