My oil pressure can't make up it's mind.
Previously, when I drove at highway speeds on a 5 mile plus trip, my oil pressure would start at 60-70 PSI (stock gauge). Then it would slowly go down to 40-45 PSI, and at some point then slowly go back up to 60-70 PSI. Then it might go down and back down again. This occurs with no set pattern.
I replace the oil sending unit and the same thing happens, only the pressures are at a higher reading.
Can an oil pump's performance fluctuate?
