closed knuckle axle, wiper seal pn#?

need a pn for the felt wiper seal that goes on the back of the steering knuckle on the closed knuckle front axles. local parts houses can't find any reference to it

Mike: The part number for the felt is #908 005. I recently change my closed knuckel oil seals and the bearings and races on the stearing knuckles. The felts came as a kit, the part number for it is #998445. Jim Pennell

Mike, the AMC p/n is 908 005. If the parts house still has probs have them look under CJ stuff. Seems those parts are referenced farther back than FSJ stuff and the felt seal is the same for all the D27/30/44 axles.

For substantially more $$$ you can get neoprene seals from NAPA that will probably outlast the axles.

I didn't think the neoprene seals were that much more.
iirc about $15 per side for the kit with new steel retainers.
