I read in his profile it is a 90 grand wag. I dont want to high jack his thread but with a 6in lift you would most likely need new shafts with high angle joints, right? how much $$ does that cost? I to would like to do that lift and might if someone sold the right shafts for it, without me having to have it done and then do all the measuring. Mine is a DD and cant be down that long. Good luck.

yes its a 90 wag all stock cant decide to do a 4" lift spring and 3" body or just go with a 6"
spring lift of course there is also a SOA which I have done before on a 69 wag and cj-5 ,
just getting lazy and didnt want to mess with drivelines. and with a body lift I'll have to mess with all the linkages ect.
want to fit 33's with no trimming issues

your rear shaft should be fine, but your front may run out of slip when you flex. Also you may get some vibes if running in full time.
33's will still rub in back with a 6" lift which you flex. Although it only requires a small amount of trimming on the rocker packel to get rid of the rubbing.

You shouldn't need a high angle shaft for a 6" lift. You may need to get them lengthened though. You're stretching things out quite a bit with 6".

no wont need a high angle, the drive shaft hits the cross member before it droops enough too need the extra angle.

Like Stuka said the rear will be fine and the front will be to short for wheelin' once lengthend you should notch the crossmember and plate it.

Again hate to highjack but also hate to start anothjer thread for the same topic. With my 80 I have a 219 F/T 4wd, do you think I would get vibes with a 6in lift? I could have swore I read that I would. I know I read where it was not advisable to do a soa with F/T, what would be the diff between that and a 6in suspension lift?

I did a soa with ad-a-leafs for about 7"-8" and I lengthend my front shaft myself and have no vibes at all, zero.

basically you would have to try it out studiac. I dont think anyboy here has done a 6" or SOA with a 219 case. If anything you would just need a higher angle cv on the t-case side. I think the axle side would be fine.

I'd get the 6" lift in before I lengthened the front shaft. I ran a 6" lift on 36" tires w/ no problems (did have to do some fender trimming). It worked out great for me.
