Just how do you know if you wag is saggin'? Any one have the specs on stock height on an OEM set up?

Suspecting that I do have sag I checked with a spring shop and got an estimate of $67 per side to add a leaf (I've got 5 now) and re arch the spring. I've gotta bring the unmounted shocks in. This doesn't inlcude the chance that a leaf is broken or the price of bushings.

Removal looks straight forward and simple except the front mounting bolt on the drivers side is hidden by the gas tank skid plate. Once the skid is removed will it be accessible or will I need to remove the tank?

Can the averaage joe handle this job without killing himself? I imagine I'll need to use an air powered impact wrench, huh? (Tool purchase!, oooh oooh, uggg uggg!)

Any reply on wag sag, rebuild price, and ease/difficulty of R/R greatly appreciated!

Muchas Garcias,

Stuart

You didn't say what year we are talking about but if it helps... My factory brochure for an 87 GW lists ground clearance at 7.2" and overall height at 66.4" (this is with stock P235/75 rubber). Assuming these measurements are to the bottom of the differential and the top of passenger compartment near the center it might give you a place to start.

Good luck
