I have an '89 GW and at higher speeds (50-70 mph) the steering is incredibly sensitive. Since GW's have speed sensitive steering (don't they?), could there be something wrong with that mechanism or something else? Or is it just the nature of these beautiful beasts?

these beasties don't have anything in them more modern than the ford Duracrap ignition box, heck I don't think there is anything newer, techonolgy wise than in '78. I'd get the front end aligned/checked out.

No I have driven plenty of older full size chevy's and my jeep is also way more sensitive. I like it though. At high speeds I can barely move the steering wheel and swerve all over the road. It has even saved me, my wife and unborn childs life before.Just cruisin about 65 down a country road when car full of migrants just pulled right out in front of me. I seen them from a long ways away and they just sat at the stop sign then just when i am about to cruise by they jumped out in front of me. They must have had a death wish cuz I missed clipping the rear of there car by less than a foot. If it wasnt for the jeeps touchy steering we wouldnt have made it through that one unharmed and i dont think the migrants would have stood a chance at surviving a 60+ wagoneer slam.

Were they "migrants" or illegal aliens.
I thought only birds migrated.
