Need help getting power mirror switch to stay put

I've just started working on my first wagon.... took the door panels off to get out the bad window motors and now the power mirror switch will not stay in its place while I put the door panel back on. It has a metal ring to hold it in, but it's not working. ANY SUGGESTIONS??????

There is a little teeny weeny hex screw that screws into/through the plastic ring on the inside of the door panel and puts pressure on the switch housing to keep it in place. It srews in from the front (from the hinge side of the door). It may still be there but just not tight, or you could substitute another screw. Very fine threads like a machine screw not a wood screw. Good luck!
