Oil flinger?

The oil flinger on the end of the crank . . .

It's kind of a large dish shaped washer, eh?

Does it go with the flair toward the front or
toward the back of the truck? IE: Hugging the
crank timing gear, or flaired away from it?

I'm at a standstill as I can't recall how it
went on there. Bah.
