1: What's the size of the factory single exhaust on an '83 Cherokee
2: What's the line coming from the passenger side of the truck that goes to the upper rear of the gas tank? Mine has a splice in it right above the catalytic converter with a piece of rubber fuel line as the splice material. Dangerous?
3: Anyone tried the aluminum header gaskets with their stock exhaust manifolds?

Only stupid question is the one not asked, or asking pete about anything gree...i don't recommend either smile.gif
1) I believe 2.25"
2) I believe that's the vapor return line, or fuel return line...prob vapor return on the pass side. Should run from tank to charcoal canister.
3) Never had a manifold off before.

Mines 2-1/4" exaust on my 86 Grand Wagoneer... They probably stuck with one kind...

I think the 360 used 2-1/2" and the 258 used 2-1/4" exhaust. Replacements probably came in random sizes of either.
Don't think header gaskets would align well with the surface of the cast exhaust manifolds...

I used muffler-mender putty on my manifolds. it ain't pretty 'cause i just slopped it on, but they're never going to leak again!
My mechanic recommended doing that.

Woops! I guess I did forget to mention it's a 360 V-8. One other question concerning these engines. I see a lot of stuff in the Summit catalogs for Chrysler 360's,but not so much stuff listed for AMC 360's. What's the difference? Two completely different engines,or just just branded differently depending on what it's in?
