Well after working this summer and saving my money I can finally get some stuff for the jeep before going back to school. Who has this setup and I really want an increase in power and gas mileage. Stuka told me he went from 7 mpg to 12 mpg and right now I am getting about 7 around town. Is there a big increase in power as well though, or just enuff to notice?

Who ever went from 7 to 12 mpgs because of a carb swap did so not because he went to a better carb...he went to a working carb. I run a 1405 w/4.10 gears and get 10 mpg in one truck and run a Qjet in another w/4.10 gears and get 10 and any FSJ will get 10 mpgs with the stock 2V or 4V if the carbs are in good shape.
If you're only getting 7 mpgs now you may have other probs besides a funky carb. The 1406/1405/Qjet etc are all good carbs but to expect a mpg increase with them over a "properly function" stock carb is dreaming. If you're doing this intake/carb swap for fuel mileage I'd rebuild your stock carb($40) first and then decide before dropping a few hundred bucks. If you already have a 4V carb you won't gain any neck snapping accel from any other 4V.
