the top bolts will match up fine. a couple retaining screws or bolts near the bottom might be a little different.
personally i bought an 84 grill to go on my 91. the last years had a crappy plastic construction. or you could go all the way with the rhino conversion.

Excuse my ignorance. What is the Rhino Conversion? Also Big Will, I would trade you my 87 grill for your 83. Mine is all Aluminum and in great shape. None of that plastic junk. I like that 83 grill.

Big Wil, I have a 75 wag and would like to do the grille change like you did on your wag. Do you have to change the whole grille section, I know where I can get the whole front part, is it from a gladiator?
I have a black Cherokee with the Rhino grille on my computer for my wall paper. I think it is great because it is different and you don't see it everyday.
Any advice would be appreciated. Mouse

The big problem swapping grills is going from square to round headlights or vice versa. In these cases one must get the appropriate face panel (sheetmetal just behind the grill) or modify the headlight buckets. As mentioned above, square to sqare or round to round should be pretty straightforward... smile.gif

Langdon, If I remember correctly my GW has round holes in the sheetmetal and square headlights. Isn't the sheetmetal unchanged(or relatively so) front 1962

it is same sheet metal but diff. light mounts-they saved money by not changing body stamp from year to yeaf, just trim panels

GBarrett, what size lights did you use for the conversion?

I found an old waggie bumper deep in the everglades and took the grille and light buckets. I ordered the chrome trim rings from JCWhitney. The smaller inner lights were donated by a Mercedes 300.
