There are 2 hoses that come from the filler. The smaller one is dripping like crazy all over. How can I patch this? This is the 68 wag

Would it be easier to replace the hose than patch it? I haven't run into many things that can patch rubber when in contact with gasoline. (My PO used packing tape - it didn't work, go figure) If it's the metal pipe, JB Weld?

don't remember the size for the 68, but measure it and go to a truck store supplies and they will have.... this is where i got the one for the 74.... 3/4.... the inlet is 1.75 for the 74... and i did the same, these are for the straight pieces... for the curved one... i add a muffler shop do a metal copy and used straight pieces with clamps
cheers

Not sure what yours looks like but the 2 that I've done were the kind where the fill hose has a molded in nipple for the molded-curved vent hose to attach. I had a muffler shop copy the fill hose shape shape and make it out of exh tubing. Then welded on a 90* nipple to hook a straight piece of vent hose straight down. There wasn't enough room to use a straight nipple and still bend the vent hose w/o it kinking shut. Then just connected the new metal fill pipe to the main section with lg dia fuel hose I got from a marine(as in boats) supply place.
