There is a 1969 Wagoneer for sale on Ebay which the owner state has a "Dauntless 350 v8" engine. Anybody know about this engine? I don't see it listed as an engine choice on the Tech pages of this website.
It's the Buick 350(1969-71). I personally think it's the best stock motor that ever came in a FSJ...your opinion may differ though ;)

Thanks. My confusion came from the article on the tech library which writes that the engine was only available in a '71 by special order.
I have family up that way in Oregon. Every time I see a Jeep like that, I drool over it, dream about it (thus the login name) and realize that I need to get rid of my XJ first and it never works out. Guess I'll keep dreamin.

That needs to be changed and corrected...
The motor was used from 1969-71 but there are a few rare 72's with them. AMC had some left over Buick 350 motors in 72 from the Kaiser takeover and those were available by special order only.

Yea I love my Dauntless 350. I miss driving my 70. It is in the body shop at the moment on a long road to recovery, but will be like new when done. Once I get it done I will not run anymore AMC engines, tired of them. ;)
