I'm having a hard time finding new rotors for my 69 wag. I can get pads OK but I really would like to find new not used rotors. They came stock on my wag. (An option) Anybody have a source?

I don't know, try www.gladi8r.com (http://www.gladi8r.com) I think thats how he spells it, he as several online parts sources, I dealt with rock auto and they were good. Maybe I can keep your post alive and somebody will tell you something that will work.

Your '69 has stock disc brakes? Do you know what type of axle it is? Dana 27, 30 or 44? How many lugs 5 or 6?

Yea no kidding,,,stock disk brakes??? Should have been a dana 27 with 11x2 brakes. Is the rotor 1 1/8th thick or 7/8ths thick? Both are availible with the 1 1/8th being more desireable.

OK, everyone seems to be surprised that my wag. has disc brakes. This leads me to think that the diff. has been changed or upgraded. I tried to find out where I read that discs were an option but to no avail. It's a dana 27 possibly a 30. From what I understand it's difficult to distinguish the difference. The tag is gone. The rotors are 1 1/8 thick and 5 lug.(same pattern as the rear drums. Maybe I can't find the rotors because I need to ask for a later year. My service manual shows that it would be 1984-1986 wag. cherok.& comanche. Looks like I may check the wreck. yard for a match. Any more input from you gear-heads? Another thing, it has closed knuckles and manual locking hubs.

Any Wagoneer brake parts later then around 73 will be 6 lug. Try a pair of 77/78 CJ7 brake rotors. They are 1&1/8 inch thick and 11 inches in diameter. Those should work for you. Make sure you get the thicker ones though as there are 7/8 thick ones for CJs that are too thin. If you cant find them locally I know some places that have them mail order for $40 each. Oh yeah closed knuckles and manual hubs pretty much guarantee a Dana 27 or 30, not a swapped in 44. I plan on putting discs on my 30 so maybe someone converted yours?

Yeah it has to be those two years though- 77/78. They are usually expensive from the local places but good Jeep places have them fairly cheap. Let me know if you want more info.

77-78 and 79 had the thick 5 lug rotors. CJ that is... Most any jeep shop, mail order is best. Just got on the phone to try and find a price and part number but as usual NAPA means (NO AUTO PARTS AVAILIBLE!!!) good luck...

Heres a link to No Excuses. They have almost everything for Jeeps and good prices. Give them a call if you can't find the rotors locally.
