I'm trying to keep a low CG and my front Dana 60
is sping over which is more lift than I want
with OEM Cherokee springs. I just want to know
if anyone if running the negative arch chevy/gmc
negative arch front leaf springs and if possible
provide pics and/or tech info.
Thanks folks.

I haven't, but I have a spare pair of Chevy springs, and I could see if they would work on the top of my D60. I too could do with a little-less lift from my SOA. I just don't know if the spring-length is compatible.

You probably already know this but the spring center bolt on the Chevy spring would need to be redrilled to match the 22.50/24.50" Jeep frt/rear offset.

Anyone know what the spring specs are
for the chevy front springs? I suppose
length, and the location of the spring center
bolt would be a good start.
Thanks!

I also thought a neg or neutral Chevy spring would do great on my SOA, so I did some measuring. While I cannot find the actual numbers (sorry, misplaced the notes) I did find the Chevy spring to be shorter than my J10 springs by about two inches. I measured my 77 and compared them to a 76 3/4 ton Chevy 4x4 of a buddies. I seem to recall the center bolt from the rear eye on both rigs was very close, with the Jeep springs gaining length from there on, over the Chevy.
I know this info is VERY general and I apologize.

RustyJeep aka Ben knows about this, i'm thinking his brother is running this setup.... He will chime in at some point i'm sure. IIRC he said it gives about 3" of lift, and moves the axle forward about an inch.

OK, I got the front springs out of the '84 parts-blazer that I chopped-up, and it looks like the eye-to-eye distance is identical to the stock Waggy springs in the front of my Cherokee. The spring is 3" wide, however, which cuts down to 2.5" wide at the eye, so there may be some perch-fitting problems. The bushing is a full 3" wide, though.
If you're going SOA w/crossover steering, the difference in center-pin location can simply be used to adjust your wheelbase.

Yes, this setup is what my brother has on his Jeep. He bought it that way, so I can't take credit for the tinkering, but it works alright.
