Well, my alternator belts were loose and when I went to tighten them, I found out that the bottom bracket busted apart. I went by the auto parts store looking for a generic adapter but didn't have one. Anyone know where I can get something like that mail order. I'm not going to have a chance to get by the bone yard anytime soon.

Needless to say, the jeep is stuck until I find one.

When the alt bracket on my '71 broke I took it to a welding shop and had them TIG it back togeather. Haven't had a problem since. Make sure that the shop's welders are certified and know how to weld the material your's is made of though. Mine is aluminium.

Email Crazy-Jeepman, he can likely fix you up with one.
