Hello everyone. I am considering doing a fule injection upgrade for my 88 GW. Before then (I need to save up first) I thought maybe I would replace the manifold with an Edelbrock. There are so many of them that I really am confused as to which on is best for me. My rigs main purpose is for off-roading, yet I would like for it to have a lot of balls (horsepower). Which manifold do you guys think is a better choice...also, I currently have a 2-barrel carb, would I need to replace that? Also, once I do decide to go with the fuel injection, will the Edelbrock manifold I buy be compatible with a Holley Fuel Injection system, for example? Thanks for your input on this matter, it will make a novice make less stupid mistakes!

Edelbrock Air-Gap manifold and Holley Truck Avenger carb. Some 4-wheelers may prefer the basic Edelbrock Performer. I like fuel injection, just wouldn't want to mess with installation myself.

I have the non EGR Performer manifold, and I like it. It gave me power all around, and has much better throttle response than the stock. You will either have to replace the 2 barrel carb or use an adapter to fit it to the Edelbrock, as it is a 4-barrel squarebore pattern. As far as the FI, the Holley TBI(Projection) system will fit the Edelbrock. Good Luck!

Week after next I am installing a Edelbrock Performer & Truck Avenger Carb. I will keep everyone posted as to its performance.

Shoot, you may like a quality Carb/intake combination enough to say the heak with a TBI project.....
