I was reading the engine tech page on froadin.com and saw this.
" Chevy 400 pistons fit in a 360 block, and while this only gives you 367.7 ci., this combination with a 401 crank gives you a 393.4 ci.
Many more combinations are availible."

Has anyone on the board done anything like this?

There are several combos that will work but to make the combos work you have to spend more money to bush rods, grind cranks, shave pistons, custom pistons with custom offsets, etc etc. All this extra work ends up costing the same as getting a good set of AMC pistons made. I have always found that hybrid engines have flaws that take lots of money to fix. Better off staying with AMC parts and maybe buying an AMC stroker crank. Adding 6" rods usually adds a few cubic inches. Indy Cylinder Heads will be releasing stroker AMC cranks soon.
