I have a 1967 Wagoneer with manual rear window....the jeep didn't have keys for the lock cylinders....I can remove the door cylinders, but wanted to know about the tailgate key cylinder. Since i can't turn the crank to gain access to the torx bolts that hold it in, do I have to drill out the cylinder to remove it?

Might be cheaper to drive the waggy to a lock smith that can pick the lock
and fix you up with a new Key, best guess is that would run $60+ but
drilling will and danage will run more.

Be glad you have a manual crank window and not electric LOL.

Actually, I have one of each....manual on the 67', and electric on the 84'. Electric now works great, after I went through it. The manual supposedly works, but I guess I'll have to drill out the cylinder. Don't want to drop the money on a locksmith.
