I found this article in the tech tips about converting your electric talgate into a manual tailgate and it sounded interesting. Has anyone out there done this. How did it turn out. Was it difficult?

It's an easy changeover, I got a manual setup out of a '67 wagoneer from a junkyard, and put it in my '80 wag. Just unbolt the electric setup, and bolt in the manual.
