Fuel Tank sender, '85 Grand Wagoneer

My '85 GW fuel tank sender is shot and none of the local parts stores or dealers can provide a replacement. My on-line surfing hasn't turned up anything as well. Can anyone help provide a source? Restore4x4 carries senders for '70-'79 waggies, but nothing later. Is there really a difference in sending units from '80 on? Or is their computer database just incomplete? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

To expand upon his point, I have an 81 J10 and the local Jeep house had a sending unit for a 20+ gallon tank for $38. But they say the smaller tank unit has been discontinued. I did the usual search on this and other boards and called every # and checked all sites listed, but came up empty(kinda like my gage shows). Anyone know where to get the 80's model 16 gallon tank unit? Thanks Dennis
