J20 Wheel/Tire Question

I am considering running BFG AT/KO 32X11.5R16.5's on stock rims with no lift on the 79 J20 (if/when I get it) since they are relatively cheap ($135 ea) and easy to find.

I have been searching around on the board looking for J20 tire/wheel info but I haven't found all the answers I was looking for. I found posts that say a 32x11.50 tire will fit fine under a J20 with no lift and I found posts that say a 79 J20 comes with 16.5" rims.

My questions are how wide are these J20 16.5" rims and will the 11.5" wide tire fit on them?

They should fit fine even if, worst case scenario, they only had 8" wide rims. 11.5" wide is about the biggest you want to go with 8" rims although some have done 12.5s on 8" rims.

I ran 12.50's on 8" rims for quite a while. Pinches the bead in, and gives the tire a little more height to it.
