On Friday I took the truck & my son to the beach, about 150 miles from my home. Half way there, after prolonged highway driving, we got on a back road, behind a big semi. I heard a "pop" and "hiss" sound -at first I thought it was the semi's air brakes - and saw smoke coming out of the back of my Wag. The noise seemed to come from the middle, or under the car. I pulled over and smoke started coming out of the interior vents. No odor and no unusual color. Just white smoke. I looked for a disconected hose, nothing. No loss in amps, no problem with oil pressure or engine temp. The smoke went away almost immediately and the truck seemed OK, so I got back on the road and it drove fine 75 more miles. I continued to drive it all weekend w/o a problem. I just fixed the exhaust manifold leak and had a shop put a new muffler and tailpipe on. What the heck could it have been? Should I be concerned? Could it be the cat?

I'm guessing you just evacuated your A/C system, either through a burst hose or a hole in the evaporator. Did you stretch anything out when doint the work you mentioned?

No, Bob. Not that I can recall. I ran the AC for the first time this season the day before, but it wasn't running when the smoke/noise appeared and I haven't checked to see if the ac is working now.

Those wheels you sent look super. Haven't put them on yet. Hoping to this week.
