Okay, looks like we've finally got some decent weather and I'm finally going to pull the t18 from my parts truck and put it on my wagoneer. Are there any wearable parts other than the throwout bearing, clutch, and tranny mount that I should get lined up before this weekend? If necessary, I'll get the flywheel resurfaced, am I missing anything else? Thanks.

Also, anyone know the clutch diameter off the top off their head? Napa shows 3 available for a 76 Cherokee.

Sounds about right. Sorry don't remember the size of the clutch I used.
Do you have the pedal assembly, linkage, rods and brackets also?

Yeah, I've got the whole truck so, hopefully won't have to do much parts chasing.

The clutch is 10.5", I think on my T-15. The T-18 should be the same, since it's the T-15's big bro.
Glenn, look at the MSN Tx jeep site, I answered your post about clutch linkage.

Thanks all. I guess most of this will become apparent once the tranny is removed from the donor. I was hoping to get all the parts I'd need lined up.

Glenn, the diameter is 10.5, Although the 10 will fit but give u less friction. Don't forget the pilot bushing, sometimes they're hard to find.

Great. Pilot bushing the same as throwout bearing? It's been about 8 years since I've replaced a clutch so the parts I'll need are kind of sketchy in my head.

no no no, the pilot bearing (oh great i've lost all technical jargen) is the round metal sleeve that fits into the flywheel that the front shafts goes into and spins. btw, let me know if the pilot bearing is the same size as the t15, will ya? i don't remember the size but it won't matter if they're the same. a good clutch and brake shop can tell you the sizes needed. good luck and keep us posted.

Okay, pulled the tranny last night. The clutch is 11" diameter Borg and Beck. I'm assuming that if a new 11" clutch is available that it would be prefferred over a 10.5", correct?
