That is a tube for the hot-air choke. As for a replacement, you can bend one up from some hard-line yourself, or maybe find an NOS unit through one of the AMC restoration places or Zack's stash.

I believe that there is the kahootenating tube. I had mine break on my 73 and went to a manual choke kit. Cost about $12.

I broke mine once... its the Hot air Choke tube... but... I fixed it with JB weld and some patience... didn't even have to take it off the intake.

Most steel brake line you can buy at the local parts house is pretty flexible, and especially flexible when useing one of those cheapy tubing benders. And, I suppose you could check to see if your neighbor has a flaring tool, or maybe one of those brake lines at the parts house has a fitting on one end that would work on your application.
You might wanna give it a try if you would like to preserve this feature on your rig. Prob. wouldn't cost much.
I think I did this with copper tubing on a Mustang I had once about a lifetime ago.

Joe, I'm assuming you're referring to the two tubes that come from the intake up to the choke housing....That was how I interpreted your description. If not, well, shoooot!
