con someone confirm to vac hookups for me. the first is the choke diaphram on the 2150 located on the passenger side. does it go to carb or manifold? the second one is the hoses for the air cleaner that operate the valves in the snorkel and body. does that hose go to carb or manifold? thanks

Ben:
I'm not sure about the first one. I need to sit down and re-hose my vacuum system myself so I will be forced to find this answer soon myself. As for the second one (snorkel), I believe it is carb vac. Get a second opinion on that because I am just basing my answer on what I see on my Wag right now. Like I said, my vac system needs some work. Good luck and I'll be cheeking this string to see of anyone has the right answers for you (us).

91 may be a little different than the one linked. - By the way, check out the really efficient archives search engine posted in the TFI thread. The best vac diagram will be the one in your engine compartment. If that is gone, then the shop manual with update is next best. A few are posted around on the web. That's where the archive search is handy. Also it may save you time waiting for a response.

The vacuum canister on the p/s of the 2150 is the choke pull off. It just needs enough vacuum to pull the choke open a little once the engine is started. It can come from any manifold vacuum source, which will be low on the carb in back or t-d into another line.

There are probably two vacuum doors in the snorkels. One is to prevent fuel vapor from escaping when the engine is off. It works on manifold vacuum and has a check valve I beleive. The line runs under the aircleaner and then down to a T IIRC.

The other door controls the amount of heated air vs. outside air. Its line runs to a temperature sensor on the bottom of the air cleaner. That in turn has a line to some constant vacuum source.

OK I just looked at the 90 diagram. Start with the two items labeled "Evap Sys Vac Mtr" and "TAC Vac Mtr" Those are the snorkel flapper "Motors". TAC = Temperature Air Control and it looks like both come from a manifold vacuum port. A junkyard raid may be in order for the delays and check valve, although certainly not the only way to find them.
