Hey Alli,do you have the tow package option?I believe (anyone please correct me if wrong)this box holds 3 relays for the trailer lights.Mine was punctured and injured from sticks or unusually tough roadkill I guess, and along those lines if anyone knows where I can pick up a replacement for the middle one of the 3 please let me know as my rear tail lights aren't working but blinkers and brakes are fine.

Sounds kinda like the flight..I uh mean RIDE data recorder, don't leave home without one.
On a more serious note, a little black box behind the bumper? Gonna guess back bumper on this because of the brake lights, is it maybe a relay of some kind? Maybe for your back door, or trailer wiring possibly? I just stripped my '83 J-10 down to the frame and didn't have a little black box by my bumper, front or rear. Now I feel left out. ;)
Sounds almost like a DSPO add-on to me, could be wrong though. Wouldn't mind knowing what it is though if you find out.

Because the later wag's have a seperate brake light and turn light circuit, the box combines them for the single set of lights on a trailer. You can get them aftermarket also, but they would be a little more dificult to wire in. BTW, I don't know about you all, but I want to move next door to Crazy, he's got everything. :D

What manufacturer and part #??? I've got a box that needs all-new relays, but never considered giving the parts-monkeys at my local AutoZone a chance of looking them up (true story: this afternoon I overheard one of the counter-guys look up from his computer and ask of nobody in particular "What's a 'loaded caliper'?"). If I can refurbish the box for my Cherokee for $12, I'll be on it tomorrow.

Helllooo Bob,
The brand is Blazer,is a 30amp.and is the only one with proper female receptors that this store carried.I'm not sure what amp.came stock but it works fine.If you're hip on the factory relay amp.please fill me in.When I first asked the jellybrain at the counter to pull up relays for my ride the only one listed was $46.99.I explained to him that this was not the relay in question and all he could say was,"I can have it today"o-v-e-r and o-v-e-r!!!I don't know what the model# is but if needed I can pull it and let you know,Dylan.

Yes, if you can pull up the number, I'd appreciate that. My ideal relations with that store involve asking the counter-guy for a specific part #, and paying for it. Anything beyond that and there is usually pain and suffering involved.

BOB,
I'm sorry to be slow in my response but I think given events the past day have been warranted, right? It's fairly late now but I will fill you in when possible.I forgot to say that the item in question was on the elec. aisle along with all the other parts that the counter guys have no clue about.Dyl.
