Installed CD player.

Finally installed my new Koss AM/FM/CD player. It's 40wX4 with the flip down removable face.

The install went really well. First of all, the glove box can be removed through the access hole without damaging it. Just remove all screws, door latch and light. Push the box back and to the left into the dash. With a short screw driver pry the flaps up and out the hole working it to the right and out. There are folds in the box to collaps it enouph for removal.

The radio hole was the perfect height but not wide enough for the new CD player as I expected. I saw sawed it to 7 1/8" wide then filed the edges smooth. Slid the player right in, hooked up the wires and "shazam", toons for the first time sprung from the speakers that I also installed. Ted Nugent never sounded sooooooo gooooooood. :D :D

Ah, another Nugent fan. Got an autograph from him on a camo "Ted Nugent" hat at an outdoors show in Chicago a couple of years ago. I replaced my AM radio last year with a new stereo; and although I hated to cut the dash, you're right- the new systems sound real good!!

Heh, Nugent rules. I know his songs are older than I am but some of the best rock is ;) There is nothing better than listening to CCR while working on the truck hehe. Anyways, I'm not gonna post the whole thing here since it's not even close to jeep related, but check out this response by Ted to some senators who said that he was a 'bad American'.

I've read that interview of Nugent before and it is the God's honest truth. BTW, Barbara Boxer of CA. was the only one in congress to vote AGAINST Pres. Bush's war resolution. For all of you in CA., vote that liberal ***** out of office.

I like that Ted Nugent letter. I agree with every word he said. I think I'm gonna post that on my wall at work. That'll really piss off my boss.

I found a Sony for mine that fit in the hole. I hate it tho. All of those stupid flashing and whirrling lights are annoying.
