hi all,
i'm thinking about following the advice i've seen here often about hooking up a mechanical oil guage.
Soooo.....where do I hook it up? I can't see where the electrnic one goes at all!

The 258 oil sending unit is on the pass side of the block, pretty much low and central. It's a 1/8" pipe plug (NPT) size, and you can either add a tee for the new gauge fitting or replace the existing sending unit with the new fitting. I'd suggest you add a brass tee, available from a parts store, since some of these cars use the oil pressure switch to turn the electric choke on and off.
