401 is almost done! Just got the block back, looks good! I put in 9.5:1 pistons,moly rings, summit 8600, Holley carb, unilite distro. and the long tubes. cant wait to hear her run! old jeep should haull some Great Googley MoogleyGreat Googley MoogleyGreat Googley MoogleyGreat Googley MoogleyGreat Googley Moogley!

i would not run moly rings i would run a set of cast rings

why? cast rings seat faster, yes.. but moly rings last alot longer.
not dissin ya, I just am curious as why you would choose the cast rings is all

AMC blocks have a high nickel content and are harder darn hard. Ever notice why 100,000 plus AMC motors clean in .010? Moly rings might actually never seat.
