Those of you on here with the part time kit Q-track, are any of you using "SuperWinch" brand lock out hubs? or have had any problems with this brand? I put a brand new set on the Wag in December, and with the 8" of new snow I noticed in 4wheel drive the one on the left side had a ratching noise  . I took it apart and I dont see anything wrong with the hub or why it wont engage all the way  Just wondering if anyone else has had any problems with this brand.

hmm bummer....i used warn premiums after my part time install. first time out wheeling i turned around backing up a slight incline on loose soil, the rear tires spun but the front kinda ratcheted a little. i hadd a buddy check to see if either of the u joints on the front axle were rotating....they werent. ends up the hubs were working fine the case wasnt. i had to modify the shifting fork in the case to get it to engage farther. i works great now. it may be that your hubs aren't working. when you turn them all the way you should hear a slight internal clicking sound as the coupler slides inside the shaft. if you have a bit of snow you could put in in four low, lock the hubs and strap the jeep to big tree, have somone watch to front driveline and front u joints to see what exactly is turning and what isnt. good luck...it was frustrating as heck for me...but now that it works it was definately worth it.

Yes - I had Superwinch hubs and yes, they broke. Mine had a plastic piece that pushed the spring back and forth to engage the star wheel. That plastic piece broke so the spring wouldn't push the star wheel into engagement with the splines. I replaced them with Warn Premiums years ago with not a single problem.

Tnx, I think I will take them back today and get my money back and find a place that sells warn. The transfer case is engageing all the way, just the left lock out isnt. The thing I dont get is I took the hub out and dont see anything wrong or why it isnt working right. And why it is only one side.

I had a similar prob on my last FSJ it was Q/T I had to goto Warn Premiums and modify the shift fork later. Make sure the case is engaging all the way.

Thank for all the help. I put the full time hub that came from the factory back in and it didnt make as much noise but still no 4wheel drive. I've decided the Qtrac part time is not engageing all the way.Probably have the shift fork backwards with my luck. But it will have to wait until the temp out side warms up and the 8" of snow is gone.

If the right hub works but the left one doesn't, the problem must be in the hubs. Try switching left and right hubs. If the left one still doesn't work, might be a problem in the spindle. If you jack up the front, do the wheels freewhell with hubs unlocked? How about when they are locked?
