View Full Version : Oil Pressure Wires

I just had the 4 bbl,intake,flowmaster done on my
83 waggie.i go to pick it up,starts right up and drive awway.then i look and the oil press is'nt working.can any one tell me where the wires are.and how to fix it.I know they all work because i just got a new cluster from jeepman,and they allways worked. :confused: help would be great thanks jason

I can tell you where it is on the motor . . . under the dash I'm afraid I'm not much help.

Passenger side just behind the timing cover there is a hole tapped into the side of the block. There should be a brass block fitting threaded in here with the sender threaded into the brass fitting. It is OEM it should have a pin type connector that snaps over the top of the sensor. The auto parts stores (that I have found anyway) sensors have a different (flat round, like a F*rd coil) connector. I think it is either a black or brown (maybe just oil covered? :D ) wire that goes from there to the wire bundle that runs along the passenger side of the motor back to the firewall and then to the main wire junction on the driver's side firewall below and to the outside of the master cylinder.

The unit is grounded through the block
