Multifunction lever removal

I am trying to replace the ww switch in my 89GW which shorted out and caused the fusible link to melt. I have no problem removing the lock plate and turn signal switch but I have not figured out how to get the multifunction lever removed so I can get to the ww switch.Haynes is no help. Has anyone gone this route or have a service manual with the details. Sure need help! :confused:

Done that.Haynes does a good job on getting me thru to the point of the removal of the turn signal switch and internal turn lever but nothing on multifunction lever itself.

Just pull it straight out it is held in by a retaining clip you have to pull hard,before pulling harness out tie a piece of string or mechanics wire to end of connector and pull harness up the column then tie new connector on string and pull string back down this is the easiest way to do it in less than five minutes
