Help!!

I just got a Grand Waggoneer, and I need help to make it run. Here's the story:
A co-worker of mine was out playing in the sand with it and the engine stopped running. His buddy then tried to tow him out with a tow bar, and rolled both rigs. Now it doesn't run and has a little body damage. He's giving it to me to fix up because he doesn't have the time or money to do it.
I need help to get it to run again. From what he's said it turns over, but will not fire. He said that it has spark from the ignition coil, so I think it might be in the fuel system? Any help is greatly appreciated.

pull wires off coil, unhook fuel line to carb. crank motor over and see if fuel comes out line. (be sure to use a container to catch fuel). If it gets fuel check timing chain. Also do a compression check.
