i am thinking about buying a 1985 wagoneer
and am wondering what axles,transfer case,
it has?

AMC360 engine, tf727 transmission, np229 tcase, d44 front axle, amc20 rear axle, bling on the left, bling on the right smile.gif

30 spline D44 front, AMC M23 rear (same 3rd member as the cj, but the tubes are much larger, and single piece axles, good strong axle for stock use to 33" tires). Transfercase is either an NP208 or an NP219. Its most likely an NP219, 85 was the last year for the 208 to be offered in wags from what I know. And it was mostly just in stripped down models.
