I have a Napa, O'reilly, and AutoZone near me...

I need a part number for the puller to take the pulley and clutch off the York A/C compressors. My original Jeep one is still on there (the twin belt kind) The replacement compressor I have is the Ford style with the single belt, which has a balancer looking thing and one much larger pulley diameter.

I need part numbers for the puller (or puller's) I just want to rent them.. This is a one time use! I can't find a puller anywhere because the parts guys are clueless.

Hey, up visiting family in northern cali, so I havent been on. Managed to get my old laptop here to work.

As for getting a pully taken off...I have always gone to the napa here and just said "Hey, can you press this pully off for me?" and they say "ok, hold on a second" then they walk over to this big machine with a hydrolic ram on it and press the pully off of what ever it is (PS pump, AC pump, what ever)

Takes them all of like 1 minute to do. No need to rent anything. Not to mention that I havent seen a tell to do it. A pitman arm puller "may" work, but it would probably damage the pully in some way, since it isnt ment to do that.

BTW: This thing wont let me on IRC, otherwise I would get on. I will try to get AIM to work. Later.

I'm not sure that it'll matter much, but the Ford- and GM-based A/C systems are a bit different than the Chrysler-based system Jeep used. You might want to re-think using that compressor unless you're certain you can get service valves to match your high- and low-pressure hose fittings.

When I pulled mine off all I needed was a bolt to fit into the threadad shaft and it poped right off :D Cheap puller!!

Exactly! The puller is just a bolt I think it is a 5/8 or 3/4 course thread. Remove the bolt and washer that holds the pully on and screw the big bolt in.
