Will work for Wag

I'm getting oil in my air filter housing through the hose from the oil filler. I know there are fixes for this problem on the 4 liter, how about for the 360? Also should ther be a breather filter in the air cleaner? If so, anyone have a part number?

this is actually how it is suppose to work. It relieves pressure from the engine and passes the blowby back into the carb so it can be completely burned. As for a breather filter, yes, you should (if I recall correctly) have a small filter element (about 1.5x1.5 inches and .125 inches thick) inside the housing which helps filter it a bit. It should be readily available at Autozone / Advance / Pep Boys / Western Auto / Checkers.
Part numbers & prices (can be bought online at www.advanceautoparts.com): (http://www.advanceautoparts.com):)
Purolator B13153 $1.67
Wix 46988 $2.59
Fram BA3812 $2.49
Of all of them, I would use the Wix brand. Made by Dana Corporation, and top of the line stuff (best oil filters yet).

replace your pcv valve. clean out the pcv system hoses. either the engine has too much blowby and is swamping the pcv system (not good. $$$) or the pcv system is clogged up (not good. minor $). the filter is in the oil cap. wash it out with solvent and let it dry.

Scott,
Do a search, and you will eventually find an old post by Bob Barry that describes removing and cleaning the flared metal tube that the egr valve hose connects to at the back of the intake. It's a little awkward to reach, but you can get a wrench on it and remove it. On my 88 GW, which had minor oil in the air filter housing, I dutifully followed Mr. Barry's advice and discovered that the metal tube was almost completely blocked by hard asphalt like crud. I had to soak it and clean it out by chipping part of it with an old awl. Problem immediately went away and GW ran better too.
